Eight budding chemists are getting ready to take part in round one of the UK Chemistry Olympiad 2024 Competition. Ryan Gillies, Anna Nicholson, Pippa MacLellan, Peter Cairney, Ailsa Brown, Lucy Jones, Alexander Fraser and Elise Wilson will participate in this event, which is organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry, on Thursday 25th January.

Each pupil will embark on a two hour challenge where their chemical knowledge will be tested in new, real-world situations. They will have an opportunity to further develop their critical problem-solving skills and learn to think creatively. All pupils will have a chance to represent the UK at the prestigious International Chemistry Olympiad.
